Who Is Eligble ?
Eligibility through eco4
1. The epc rating should be ' D ' or lower
Epc band E and D can be raised to a potential C
Epc Band G and F xan be raised to a potential D
Epc rating D can be eligible for the Great British Insulation Scheme (this includes topping up existing measures such as loft and wall insulation)
2. In receipt of certain qualiying benifits
- Universal credit
- Income Support
- Housing benefit
- Child Tax Credit / Working Tax Credit
- Income Based Job Seekers Allowance
- Income Related Employment And Support Allowance
- Pension Credit
- Pension Credit savings Credit
Child Benefits (Single parent)
- 1 Child - £19,000
- 2 Children - £24,800
- 3 Children - £29,600
- 4 + Children - £34,500
Child beniefits (Couple)
- 1 Child - £19,000
- 2 Children - £24,800
- 3 Children - £29,600
- 4 + Children - £34,500
Low Income Exceptions
Eco Flex Rules - this allows local councils to recommend that a householder qualifies for the gas central heating grants for pensioners scheme without the need to recive one of the qualifying benifits listed above
other exeptions are :
- Being in a low income household (under £31,000 a year )
- Over the ae of 65
- Have a child under the age of 5
- Have a serious illness
- In receipt of child benifits
- Are a current tenant in a property
